This morning I read this post on Frogstr. I have not feared the publish button. Oh my! I have so many fears about this blog and most things in general, and I forgot to fear the publish button. Yikes!

As Tevye would say “On the other hand” I am not worried about attracting subscribers or winning a Nobel Prize for writing on my blog.  I am sure I have never written a perfect post. If I waited for perfect this would all be blank.

To answer frogstr, yes I always review my posts before publishing because I want to be sure spelling and grammar are at least acceptable to me.

    I’m afraid every time I hit the publish button. :{ I’m especially afraid when ever I comment on another blog! But, I do, however, I’ve never had a way with words, so I’m still shaking the awkward feeling whenever I do.

    See, I’m awkward! Hello! :D hhahah!

    no ,
    I’m never afraid of the publish button ; the fear comes 30 seconds after ….like when its too late.
    For me the best two things that have been invented are :
    1 the possiblity to change your message on SOME phone reply boxes , and
    2 the preview button on SOME board boxes ;

    I write my posts on Windows Live Writer, then preview it as it looks on my Wordpress theme, and then save it to my blog. In Wordpress I add the tags and categories, and then view it on my blog (still not published), wait a while and re-read it for flow and for errors. The waiting a while is important to me — otherwise I can skip right over a mistake that will scream at me when I read it cold.

    But then I publish it — without fear :) and have even tweaked some more after publishing, but not often. (Learned from Valerie that the search engines don’t like when you repeatedly publish the same post — has something to do with spam?)

    I didn’t read Frogstr, but yes, I always proof my writing, even if I’m writing a letter or sending an email. Came up in an earlier time, when ALL school work had to be checked before turning it in. Now it’s in my blood.

    Morganna, you do great on your blog! Your art work is exceptional as well.

    Rod, I appreciate that feature too — Wordpress doesn’t offer it, but Blogspot does. I always hit the preview button. Haha!
